Chris is a longtime entrepreneur, having started his first business back in high school. After graduating from McMaster back in 1986 with a degree in Economics, he tried the corporate thing for his first post university job, was essentially fired after 2 years and took the plunge into self employment as he always knew he would some day. Over the next 20 years he opened 8 locations, and sold a good business to a private equity firm from NY. Around the same time, he entered the Retirement Home business partnering with a seasoned industry veteran on 3 Homes, the first an existing operation in need of improvement to 2 others built from scratch and sold to the big national players in the space once occupancy levels hit their mark.
Since then he’s done a land assembly deal in the KW area, bought and managed apartment buildings, opened a car crazy venue space called Car Culture Canada in Burlington, and invests in an array of other businesses, mostly as a silent partner.
He has 3 great kids 19 to 23, loves (and hates) golf, plays old timers hockey and is and has always been fascinated by what it takes to be in business and successful at it in Canada!
